Literature Text

Your warmth was like a sun,
Passionate seasons shimmer,
Large arms wrapped around me
in a protective embrace.

Flowers grew from my heart,
blossoming in utter beauty,
in vivid colours of summer days,
that always seemed so long.

My heart belonged there,
Lost in a moment of desire,
Everything around fades away.
Nothing else would matter.

Wisps of hair fall on me,
I felt your gentle hands,
Press apon my cheekbones,
And lure me into a kiss.

Your lips were so soft,
Full of longing and yet,
Time flew by us quickly,
As if wanting it to last.

I would've given my life,
Listening to your breaths,
I could never wilt away then,
You were my ray of sunlight.

A bond with you is not like
Anything known of emotion,
As yours hands break away
My comfort fades the same.

You were my brave solider,
Boots strapped on for war,
The gift you left behind was,
All the memories we made.

Craving for you to whisper,
So softly in my waiting ear,
but your voice was stolen,
in the midst of fatal tune.

Your figure started to vanish,
Like a ghost in a foggy mist,
The world came back to me,
Hazel eyes only gazed ahead.

Stepped on a humming train,
My legs longed to follow.
I wanted to press to heart,
The red ribbon that tied us.

I waved as tears streamed down,
You were smiling for me,
Smile of a rose in full summer bloom--
Yet icy truth froze over.

I would never see your smile again.
A story about a solider leaving behind his wife during time of war, only to never return. Not my best poetry, but it was fun to write. I usually write in free verse so there really isn't an order to it, just random. I couldn't think of a good title because I'm tired right now... anyone think of a good idea feel free to tell me xD

Feel free to comment/rate/be a buttface/etc. But please no hate.
